Horse killer Manny Phelps says it is gonna get worse. His exact words: Tell your dumb ass readers to keep breeding their mares. My kids need shoes.

There are so many horses in deep deep trouble. Some are scheduled for a euthansia day at another ranch. Some are scheduled for upcoming auctions. Some are priced by the pound and sold to slaughter as we speak.

And we are not talking old, broken down bags of bones. We are talking nice well broke trail horses. Athletes. Horses who just a few years ago would have sold for decent money.

Tbfriends has access to more than 130 horses. These horses come from ranch foreclosures and partial ranch reductions. They come from families who have lost their employment. They come from people who do not want to buy feed this winter. If you would like one of these free horses, it is best to phone. My cell is 530-383-2120. I do the screening. I also arrange transportation. Most of these horses are thoroughbreds, and they range in age from 2 to 23.

This is just so sad. SO many horses, so few homes. Every day, believe me, I am thankful that I have the horses that I have! I would LOVE to adopt another, but I just don't have the funds.

I DO believe that some dealers have a heart.........they must be very conflicted about their work.........it certainly puts shoes on their kids' feet, but...........................
