Hi All - I am looking for a buddy or two to come out to my place and ride Initially - as dumb as it sounds - I need to be able to work my percheron in a group setting and help him get a feel for it. Would like to do some training exercises to help build his confidence up a bit then after doing this a time or two would LOVE to hit the trails behind my house. We have 10K acres of trail system right out my back gait, but with my big ol percheron being green still, very active, and having a vision problem - I don't want to head out without a few people to go with.

You might have to be a tad patient while he learns, but I PROMISE lunch for you and your kid I want to start him here at home since most of the trails i will ride on a more regular basis will be at home - but after that, if everyone wanted to haul out I am A-Ok with that too

Any takers?? Hoping that at least 1 or 2 of you have nice, steady eddy horses he can go along with to cut down on his "OMG" moments!

Hey-Sara-I am next to Horseshoe Lake-so I think I should be like 5-10 minutes from you-how is your schedule? Mine is insane, and I still need to get my house in Tacoma emptied and rented, as well as a million other things-BUT I would LOVE to come riding. I will have to see about hooking up the horse trailer to my truck as I am not as comfortable driving hubby's aincient diesel behemoth.

Sounds good to me! We have really good trailer parking/turn around so if you can get here, I can get you turned around Actually - my schedule is open for the most part right now - It always dies off for a couple fo weeks this time of year, so I am FLEXIBLE! I am trying to ride in the big open pastures some so that I can get my kid out of the arena. AND all things figured, my new saddle should be here ina week or so hopefully!! So - any day that works for you is A-OK for me lol. You free today lolol!! The sun rocks... although, GEEZ it is cold.
