Hi Guys, We rescued a BIG beautiful Black cat at my work and he is now looking for a home. If you have space let me know. Nigel is 13 pounds of pure muscle, shorthaired, yellow eyes and recently neutered. He is about 1-2 years old and FELV/FIV - negative, he has had all his vaccines and is microchipped. He uses the litterbox great and likes to be pet and scratched. He was a tom so he has a BIG head which is very cute. I would totally take him but our cat is FIV positive. He is down at the clinic if anyone wants to visit him, he needs a place quick cause we don't have alot of room. I am working on pics of him.

I took in an FIV positive stray 6 years ago and he has adjusted to my household of 3 FIV-negative cats quite well. My other 3 cats have at various times been tested over the last 6 years and are still negative. The only thing that would be of concern is if they got in a fight but the hiearchy was set early on and we have had no issues. They share the same litter boxes, food and water bowls.
Others might thing that it's nuts to mix the 2 but I love them all equally and will treat them all accordingly if they become ill. They are all indoor cats. ;-)

Awww.. well darn it! I hope Nigel finds himself a nice home too. I'd take him but at this point in my life I'm "downsizing," meaning when these guys go I probably won't "do" kitties anymore. I just wanted to share that if "you" (meaning everybody, not just you Ashley) have friendly cats there shouldn't be too much problem with integrating them. ;-)
