Tonight, Thursday, Nov. 13, Channel 4 News (KXLY in the Spokane area) will be airing The Last Chance Auction on their 6:00 p.m. news broadcast.
A "spot" teaser last night showed Debbie (I think from Mustang Hearts Rescue out of Newport) being interviewed and also showed a couple of horses being sent to slaughter (men beating them with sticks).
The news caster says that we will be surprised what the Veterinary Assoc. says about slaughter. Ha! We know what they say. . .and, we know that not all vets agree.
From the news spot advance notice on this expose, I think maybe they will hit the rescuers, the kill buyers, the Vet. Assoc., etc. Maybe it will be a well-researched spot.
I don't believe I've ever seen anything like this in the Spokane area before. Let's hope that the horse rescue efforts are well represented.

Is this available over the web? If not, can someone local record it and put it on You Tube or something?
