Somebody needs to contact Madelein Pickins (wife of T. Boone Pickens). They have just agreed to adopt the 30,000 mustangs held by the BLM to keep them from being slaughtered.
This is a more desperate state for the animals. Hope it works out in time.

That is a great suggestion. One of the three women organizing the rescue effort should contact me later today. I passed along your suggestion to my friend who has been in contact with the group. Thank you.

Dare I ask how one 'adopts' 30,000 horses? Unles you have 30,000 open acres of your own to run them on. And you'll need to sterilize them....... Is there a 'dart-gun injectable' shot for the mares yet? I read a while back it was being worked on. What about tying the tubes of the studs, rather than a whole gelding operation?

To answer your question, go to SOS and check thread woman of the week, or check WWW.madeleinpickens.com once you are on her web check news articles. She has purchased the 30,000 horses that the BLM has been feeding in holding pens, plus she is purchaseing a million acres in one of the western states.

Is there anyone near Browning, Montana, who could help with one horse, even temporarily? This is a desperate situation with one horse who is scared and won't load. It will be curtains for her if we cannot find her a place to go. One of the women spearheading the rescue effort will take her, but right now this mare needs some place to go and hold over near where she is right now If anyone can help, please contact Kimberly immediately: kimberlyharris@mac.com and/or 818-469-9637. Please, help if you can. Thank you.BROWNING HORSE RESCUE: browninghorserescue.com/homeMARE #24: www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=65445&id=1651730462&l=bed0d
