For those looking for something happier...
Disclaimer:
It rained. It doesn't happen often here (about 5 days a year lol) but when it rains, as the song says.. it pours. It takes about 5 days for the lakes and ponds to dry out, it's very sandy soil so it looks worse then it is.
I walked Deedee (and Delite) over to Laurie's the other day

Then went to walk Tryst back
www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XXwHqd_RAc
Tryst kept running back up the driveway to be with the other babies.
So I guess she won't mind being weaned so much... but her mom got really agitated when she kept running away, so I'm not so sure she's going to like it at all.
No video of 6 month old Dandy but I did catch him still hitting the milk bar!
Hayden looks great so we will probably let them keep on until he's 8 months. Neither one minds the other leaving, they just meet at the fence for a little nursing here and there.
More saturday shots
and for those who are curious that is Dyna my 2 1/2 y/o CBER Yakima Rez filly between Dandy and Trysts 1/2 brother Maverick..
and Tryst and Deedee decided to appear the same day even thought their moms were due 35 days apart (Deedee was the late one) Yes shes smallish, but Tryst being half moose doesn't help. Shes going to be a fattbutt like her mom!
Dodge, Deedee's dad is FINALLY on his way to California. He should arrive tomorrow and again I am being told he has great manners, is soft on a halter and really quiet. So YEAH! But is a little thick or stocked up on his bad hind so we'll have Dr B give him a lookover after he settles in.
It's about 75 here during the day still, but frosting over at night. I'm hoping warmer weather might help, as I'm told he stayed pretty sound when it was warm.
