I'm having surgery on my shoulder in a few hours... rotator cuff repair and some bone spur/impingement and synovitis removed... should be fun... not, but will let me use my right arm again... I'm right handed... so typing will be hard... but, in case I am not able... know I'm not 'MIA', but just reading... and taking GOOD drugs... hehe
Take care ya'll, and have a MERRY Christmas!!! Hug your horses!

GET WELL FAST! Thinking and Jingling for you! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season. I started doing warm water therapy exercises on my shoulder after surgery and it has worked wonders, have a great place to go here with warm water pool that is about 94-96 degrees! Lovely to stretch, water walk and work out in and not hurt the muscles and joints...

Thanks all.... Beth is home and surgery went great. Turns out she did NOT have a tear in the rotator cuff (yea!!!) but lots of bursitis, bone spurs, etc. So he cleaned up everything, and now she's cozy in bed (well, not so cozy because of the nerve blocked numb arm, but hey....)
So lots of good drugs on board every three hours all night (fun for me!) and the ice machine is loaded up with ice to keep the shoulder from swelling up. The next 72 hours will be pretty uncomfortable, but she starts range of motion stuff Sat. or Sunday!
Summary: great news, she'll be back in action and able to ride much sooner than expected.

Just ran across this thread, haven't been on the ol' puter as much as I would like...dealing with the cold weather and winterizing the animals and house.....My love and thoughts are buzzing your way Beth! Mikey, btw, is doing fantastic! Double blanketed, eating his warm mush as we speak in his stall! He had his teeth done a couple of weeks ago, the vet just shook his head.....clearly whomever had him before you and I did not take care of his mouth! UGH!!!
