How terrible. Unfortunately, it does get really foggy out that way and it is a dark country road. It's just horrible for both the horse and the driver of the vehicle. I'm sure the driver was pretty traumatized by it. I would be:(

I read the comments below the article, my only comment is a horse is not something a driver would typically be looking for to just run across a road. It amazes me that people would actually put that comment in. Unbelievable.

Does anyone know whos horses those were? That's the neighborhood where I grew up and still have friends with horses in that area.

Yes, the comments are VERY interesting, representing a cross-section of non-horsey, mostly City people northern California residents. But then notice that someone even refers the readers to TBFriends and Fugly.
I noted with interest the comment about placing your unwanted horses with friendly neighbors or horse rescues. Very unrealistic these days ... but that's the perception of the general public ... yeah, just give your horse to your neighbor!
