I took both of these obviously Cushing's CBER horses, well Missy is a big pony I guess... They are happy and muddy, and got pics today! Our mare and foal were out for a run in the arena, and these old mares were just watching and remember the good old days when they could buck like that! LOL!!! this is Missy with our other old mare Sally.... and our 40+ year old stinker pony... hehe... Poncho... all just enjoying a warm winter's day... :-) the last one for this year...

They both look great Beth! Such different horses since being at the feedlot. It's hard to believe that is really Jet?!! Even with a bit of mud- there is no hiding the happy expression in the eye. They are living the good life FOR SURE! Give them both a kiss for me

Oh, Yes I remember Misletoe... She was caked with mud and lice when I picked her up in Yakima and brought her to Oregon on the Horse rescue rail road... She was a very sweet pony... Happy to see update on her... Thanks Beth Jeannie

I remember both! And, I've been following any updates on them. I think they should all be "rescue stars" on a poster, in a book, or have their own pages on the internet so more people could see them! Good work and thanks to everyone who has been a part of their rescued lives. The pictures and the look in their eyes say it all.

I always wonder when their time will come... I'm guessing they are both into their thirties now by teeth, but are still happy and perky! they look longingly at the green... and try their hardest to get the sprigs from under the fence... LOL.... good entertainment I guess... poor things can't have grass... and have to live on the dirt lot... and eat pellets... sigh... but, I guess it is better to feel good than to eat good... heck, neither one has any teeth to chew with anyway! LOL! so, it IS a pipedream!

Jet is a sweetheart...I got to meet her when she first came down to Beth and Pegs and fell in love with her.
