A elderly gentleman unable to care for himself let alone his airmails (33 horses + dogs, cats and more) surrendered them over to rescues.....
I was contacted just after Stevens Co. sheriff went in to check on the old gentleman...In his 70's and living in a truck...
The person who contacted me was a neighbor (don't know how she got my name)...
Ask her what we would need (all stages of rescue), an address and owner release...
She recontacted me 2 days later to say that a rescue group was on CL asking for donations to rescue these horses, "Was that us?"...NOOOOO...
Shepperd's Way and Fantasy Farms (Loon Lake /Springdale) are the rescue groups and just got them out...
KREM news carried the story this morning....Not good news on some of the horses....New born foal froze in this weather....
I'm sorry I didn't work quicker, I know a week ago or more....Thought rescuers would have worked faster....SORRY, their safe now....
