So... CBER is claiming that they have rescued 3,700 horses over the last four years and that this sheer volume of numbers excuses any possible wrong doing.
Let's take a look... 2004 & 2005: 590 2006: 420 2007: 330 2008: 210
Grand total: 1550. This is still a great many horses, but I would bet money they couldn't tell you where a quarter of them are now and yet we are even now finding more and more horses who were sent back to kill.
How is it that they think it is OK for the "new" CBER to build itself up on all of the benefits of the past and yet ignore the problems? If CBER is truly "new" then let them renounce the 501c3 that the "past" CBER earned and show themselves capable of obtaining their own. Also, then let them quit claiming those horses which were adopted under the "past" CBER as their own achievements. The "new" CBER has done worse this year then any year before it and yet it seeks to claim the achievements of the past while denying the past and current issues. They cannot have it both ways and to try for such is deceit both to themselves and to the public.
The current followers praise CBER and hold it on high for the achievements which were earned by the very people that they now denounce.

Having been there in person and having the sheets from the feedlot, I never believed the exaggerated "save" figures being bandied about and knew it had to be a lot less when I would mentally add up my guesstimates in my head. However, at the time, no one was really listening to me and I figured no one would believe me anyway. I am glad this is coming out, because it is just ONE example of the lies and misinformation that has been propagated by those who really do not know and just follow what S chooses to say.

I'd be interested to know where Sam gets her figures from??? Anything to make CBER look good....as long as its NOT the truth!
