Well - I haven't posted pictures of my kids in a while - ANd since I got an amazing camera for christmas I have been taking about 200-300 pictures a day lol. SO here are a few of my kids. PLUS - for anyone questioning whether I did the right thing for Ms. Malibu after she broke the Navicular bone in her rear foot(many thought I should put here down!!) Here are some great pictures that show how she is doing She still has off days occasionally, but for the most part she is 95% sound all days and will make a great riding horse for the trails and dressage Malibu in the pasture yesterday afternoon! Malibu running! Ohhh and my old man having a roll in the snow in the back! Malibu HAULIN butt to catch up with the rest of the gang! Mr. Kadin my giant percheron. Thpppppppp! I stick my tongue out at you! I will MELT you with my x-ray eyes!!!! Anyways! We all have our goofy kids! Sara

Thanks. the first pic of malibu I used a special filter so that it takes out most of the color and ads a hue over the top. Turned out kind of neat. I have been experimenting alot - waiting for my 500mm lense and my remote flash but still having fun taking pics!

I lost track of the thread, but apparently your old fella recovered from his nether-regions bite? Glad to know it.

He has sort of recovered - he has had ongoing issues since then - his rear legs swell easily, so he has to be pressure wrapped anytime he is in his stall for more than an hour or so. His sheath also never fully returned to normal. It is still enlarged and rather hard. It has been ultrasounded and it appears that the tissue is normal, just thickened and there is not alot we can do at this point. He is able to urinate fine, but his sheath just looks larger than normal. Here is a pic - you can kind of see that he is still enlarged. BUT - he looks darn good for being 28 Shows what a lifetime of love, good food, and care will do for a kid! Sara

Really nice pictures Sara. Can't wait to see others you take. :-) The one of kadin standing is beautiful. Are those dapples I see near his front shoulder?

LOL - ya, the blanket we send for Hil wouldn't close around the chest of malibu by about an inch and was a good 12-13 inches from closing on Kadin lol. Malibu has turned out a TON bigger than I had originally expected. she is right at 18 hands and Mr. Kadin is 19.3ish.
We had a great ride, although Kadin was not quite the angel he was made out ot be lol. He did great once he settled down some, but WOW - was kind of like riding a fired up TB initially. Cal decided to take us all on an adventure into the great beyond at one point - He decided trails that were already carved out were for sissy's lol. We got back just as it started snowing - guess luck was on our side!
Ohhh and yes - all my kids have dapples, even in the winter fuzzies - BUT, Kadin is dappled from head to tail. (or, maybe that is dimpled lol!)
I am having a great time taking pictures. Getting better with the artsy stuff!!
