OK this is probably mostly directed to Sara and Fiji-but anyone else in the Gig Harborish area- here's the sitch- Step daughter's 'bio-mom' is pulling some crap. Their divorce clearly stated she lost the horses and all tack etc-now she has the daughter convinced she needs to board her horse elsewhere so she would have a covered arena to ride in. NEVERMIND the fact they got this horse in the first place because her last owner had her boarded and had severe problems with hip and joint exacerbated by being kept in a stall.-FORGET that-let's just teach the kid to be so selfish that the health of the animal doesn't matter and you can just pay someone else to do the day to day care/cleaning and show up infrequently and play and just throw more money at it to not have any responsibilities. I have severe problems with this and a lot more about it-trying to be brief here-LOL- ANYWAY........ where is an arena that has open night people can show up and ride at-are there any groups in the area that have anything set up? Thanks Lisa

Sorry - I don't know where there is one around here. When I plan to do arena work I generally haul over to enumclaw to a good friends indoor arena or haul up to redmond to ride at Ferrel Mcquirter park. MOST good arenas will let you haul in at any point as long as you follow the rules and pay a haul in fee.
I suggest calling some of the more family oriented facilities and finding otu if you can haul in. In my own experience, you will have a free-er arena to ride in if you go EARLY in the mornings during the week or VERY early on Sunday mornings. The bigger the facility the more traffic the arena will have, so keep that in mind.

Cool-thanks-guess I will call around tomorrow-it's funny tho-there NOT being a covered arena on premises was never an issue when 'she' lived here. More fun with controlling-ex games. I think Brenda mentioned some place she hauls into over in the area.

I've seen some ads on Craigslist for riding facilities over in your area. Search under "horse boarding" there.

YEAHHHHHHH-thank you thank you thank you-I was trying to do a search last night but yahoo was giving me listings without websites. But then again I was tired and PO'd that Bio was pulling yet more crap when she left she abandoned them all and hasn't done one thing to follow up care w/ horses since-now she wants to take the horse that was awarded to him-gets the plan all set with the 12 year old in the middle and THEN drops the bomb.
