There are a lot of moderators on this board, I am one.
The Admin account is no longer active, it must exist or the board doesn't exist....
Tash is doing the big admin duties
do you have a pressing issue? you may email or post a PM to Tash, she can reasonably help you.

Okay, I see that moderators have the "admin" title underneath their user names.
It's always helpful to know who's in charge, in case of concerns.
I believe that some people would like to be more involved but don't want to frequent the board if Dean is still in charge.

She is not. She relinquished her admin... so it is 'retired'.

The original post on this subject clearly stated that the Admin account had been retired and that any Admin duties will be performed by other staff. MTA: No need to be so paranoid Penny unless you are guilty of something. You are not the particular CBER volunteer being referred to in the above post. |

My independant neutral third party opinion here-I don't think Penny was being paranoid-just clarifying that she is who she is with no second alias. Penny is a real person to me-not just a 'virtual person' and she was very helpful to me and my horses when
1) I first got Joe and needed QT (before it was required in Yakima)
2) I had some major health issues and needed to move my horses in the middle of meds kickin my ass. In light of everything that has come about with CBER-I may not understand her loyalty there-but can state that her priority is saving/helping horses.
Now back to the topic at hand-what horses did Dean still have-were they new acquisitions or some from a while ago? Were they in ill health & underweight or is it because of the court order to not own horses? Does anyone have photos or know where they went? Seems like some sort of update would be available by now.
I am not trying to stir anything up-just curious as many of us feel connected to the horses that may be involved.

QUESTION: If you like the people and produces of a business, but dislike the founder / owner...Would you stop shopping there? I think, in this case, that it goes far beyond just "dislike". It's more of a matter of supporting someone who was found guilty by a court of law. I don't eat at KFC because of their practices, I boycott Mars Candy because of theirs. I don't shop at stores that sell fur. It's not that I dislike any of the companies or owners/founders, but that what they do is wrong.

And you are right-at the end of the day-each of us has to live with ourselves, our conscience and our decisions. Are we doing more good than not by being involved in something, attempting to effect change; or is a public boycott more effective? that is for each to decide for themselves.

I own NO horses at this time. The horses seized were not mine. They had been signed over before my court hearing legally with all registration papers and bill of sales. As rumors go I evidently have horses stashed all over the place. This again is NOT true. ( See above ). King County Animal Control is mess right now. They are fighting among themselves and acting illegally ( as this seizure was ). Why were they siezed and where did they go? What a mess. Things are up in the air in Pierce County too-they had a seizure that went badly-were WAY overbilled for care etc and are still trying to figure out what / how to do that in the future. AC in Pierce is now part of the Auditor's office jurisdiction.

There is nothing especially wrong about the Fairgrounds and I am sure they are being well cared for. It is just frustrating for them to be standing in a pen there when 5 of them had homes to go to... but instead they sit in a web of political red tape that could keep them in holding until summer 2010.

Dani and Paprika belonged to Nancy since July so they were unable to be found homes. Truthfully I was under the impression that she was planning on keeping them forever or I probably would have offered Dani a home right after she was born.
Supposedly Kimmie had several transports arranged but was unable to be loaded. At least one hauler has confirmed that Kimmie "was a devil" and would not load despite all efforts.
Tinker was waiting on a ride to TDR. There are I believe two threads on this board over a month old looking for a ride.
Colonel's home offer just came recently.

I have been in contact with both Dean and Sargent Morris regarding Tink, trying to figure out what is happening and why. I have heard nothing from Sargent Morris, but communicated my intent and commitment to take Tink. If I thought for a second AC would allow us to take her, as originally planned, I would send my brother off in the truck and trailer to Washington when he arrives next week (fingers, hooves, and paws crossed that his plans work in this time frame). The frustration and fear of not knowing what is happening or will come of these survivors is tremendous. I cannot imagine how they must feel.

Nothing is resolved quickly with AC here. As Tasha pointed out it is absolutely ridiculous they are even there. They all have excellent homes to go to.
the court date that was set is for July of 2010. I guess AC will need to make the next move via a Judge.

These horses were going to go to these homes but they were stopped when Jude filed her paperwork saying they were heres. These horses cannot go anywhere until this is smoothed out. They did have homes that a/c agreed to this is not a/c's fault. At least they are healthy now and they have had shots and teeth done. I know Danni was at Pilchucks Barb you might want to see if you can get info on her. Sorry I dont know much just heard she was there.

Your d**n right Jude didn't want the horses going to anyone. Especially since she owns them and took possession of them right before they were seized.
Serenity Equine Rescue seems to be at the helm of all the sh!t going on. They were trying to sell these horses already for $500.00 without even owning them.
A friend of SOS wanted Colonel and Jude had agreed to GIVE him to her. Patricia Clark was trying to sell him. SHE DOESN'T OWN HIM. HELLLLOOOOO....
Of course Serenity wants horses they can sell. They suck!
