There are 8 horses being held by King County that were seized from Dean Solomon on January 22nd.

I am hoping that Dean being removed as admin is real which is why I have come back if this is not true please let me know so I can delete my account as I will not be a part of that. If she truly is not in charge is it ok to talk about the recent seizure without getting banned?

Jessiegirl, no matter what happens with the admin account, RO is not here for bashing and trashing.
so, if that is why you are back, to see if you can 'talk' trash about Dean, please find an alternative forum... there are plenty of them out there, feel free to discuss there.

Feel free to talk about horses needing rescue, etc.
there is already a board that Katie maintains to 'discuss the truth'... regarding the PEC situation, that is the appropriate forum.
As a group we have decided to remain as a group devoted to rescue.... period.

the CBER section is about a rescue that is still 'conducting' business and about having former volunteers share information with us regarding some of the horses we asked about what happened.
PEC no longer exists
If you'd like to start a thread specifically to update us on specific horses you have personal knowledge of that PEC had, please feel free... so long as it is relevant.... and not personal.
the CBER threads were moved to their own section so that those who chose to share those stories can, and others are not going to that section.
Please limit yourself to those general rules
we are not here to rally for, nor against PEC
we are here for the ones who still need to be saved.

I totally agree and believe in all of that. I only wanted to know if talking was a banning offense. The death of a horse I loved weighs heavily on my heart to this day and I could not respect her memory and be on a board that still supported Deans actions. When I was a big supporter of this board and its work I was very happy with the discussions we all had and the friendships I felt. I have since then viewed this board as something tainted by her actions. I only want to know that my accounts of the things I went through with PEC will be respected as much as those with CBER heartache. I also would like to point out that there is behind the scenes work to try to get her horses back. It is not over and in fact there are I believe 4 horses that are missing.

Maybe we should remember all the horses that PEC helped bail for people so they could give them a forever home and stop trashing the woman for a mistake that she made do to a kind heart for horses.

I am sorry I dont believe you get it at all. She doesnt think she made a mistake and kept her horses after the judgment came down. She could have cared for them properly but did not and once again they were going days without food. DAYS
I know the good work Dean has done she was my friend and was a good one at times. She was very helpful and even showed up to foal someones mare at my home. I miss Dean I am sorry I learned what I learned and they way I learned it.

she wasn't making mistakes. she just didn't care. i have seen it with my own two eyes. she was a good person when she was honest. which wasn't very much. she has helped out in so many ways. im not to sure why that was when her own horses were starving. you might want to all fact about her before you defend her.

Continuing to keep and hide horses after you have been CONVICTED and ordered to not own horses is hardly a mistake. Its a violation of a court order. You don't `accidently' keep 8 horses when you just spent a lot of time in court losing a case over just that thing. IF Dean has done this again recently, she really needs to look into psychological help. Hoarding is a manifestation of mental illness and its quite obvious she does not see herself as harming these animals. Sadly, she is harming them just as much as a truck to Mexico. I am not bashing, but commenting on the few facts that have been posted here and some other places. I wish somebody in charge here would clear things up. I suspect its still Dean and I will find myself banned for posting this...

I have to say, Dean had ample opportunity to get both Kimmie & Gleed to SOS, only Gleed made it here, the trailer had empty spot in it. I didn't post picture of the mare, or make a big deal about her finally arriving. I have no desire to Bash her, but I can't defend her actions either, she said she was trying to do right...doing right would of been following court orders which she did not. |

marcia. this is not my opinion. i have been there and witness it. i watched her kill angel. so dont tell me its an opinion. i actually used to help jude feed these horses before i cut ties with her. which was just about 5 months ago. they would only feed once a day and then they were left out in a field full of tanzys. or is that just my opinion.

My own opinion is that, whether CBER has always had a section here or hasn't, that if we are going to tolerate bashing at all, then we tolerate it without restriction. ( I would prefer we didn't have it at all, frankly, but that's just me) I do think it is demonstrating a double standard to say one group or person is off limits but the other is fair game. I realize that there are A LOT of high feelings about both CBER and Dean/PEC right now, and some will want to come down "on one side" or the other. Then there are those who want to hash over every problem, and those who choose to leave the negativity and focus on positive actions. I don't actually think any one choice is better than any other, but I see that there are reasonable people with all of these different approaches.
I would propose, or request, that we either have separate sections for people to discuss CBER and Dean/PEC if they so choose (ie separately marked from the rest of the board so people can either focus their attention there or avoid it) OR that we not have any sections at all that are about "bashing"/"truth telling" etc (I put them in quotes because the labels are just labels).
My humble opinion.

I'm wih grateful I think we have lots of boards to bash CBER including the PEC board it also has a CBER section on it. This board has lots of great people on it with tons of info let move on.

I'm not at all opposed to discussion, and the PEC thing is 'new' again,
I just felt the knock on the door to Jessie's original post up there was to start a thread bashing her... saying things that 'would get her banned' potentially, so she was asking...
I don't know how to start a section, but I'll go try.
we have retired threads on CBER too tho, so this isn't the 'go to town and party mode', but if something is relevent to the here and now, and updating on a horse or scenario that should be shared then that will be the place. How's that?
I think there is some workings to have a 'sister board' to put all of those threads, just fyi, so we can move it off of here to it's own place soon.
In any case, if it's speculation, throwing mud, or what not, go on over to the Pecdiscussion board and hoist away... that is your forum. That goes for CBER too, they have a place for them too... for mud slinging stuff.
