This is such a scarry time right now. My husband just lost his job, unemployment is backed up 4-6wks before we could see any money at all. What little we have in savings and 401K will hopefully get us through until he finds a job. And with all this all I can think about is my animals and what will happen to them. Im thankful we have a barn full of hay, but I made a promise to each one of the 4 legged critters to protect, & provide them a good home. I could loose my truck, horse trailer, & camper and not feel bad at all (dont want that to happen but its a reality). But if I had to part with my animals I dont know what I would do. I just keep hoping that somebody in our government will get off their rich hindys and think about all of us working folks that are suffering. AT least help stop the flow of layoffs. This is unreal, its the worst kind of bad dream. My husband has an unofficial job offer, the company just needs to fire another worker and then Ken goes to work. I feel so bad for the other guy, but its a dog eat dog world. Boy I hope things turn around soon.

Oh Michelle, I'm sorry to hear about your husbands job. Hopefully everything will work out with the unofficial job offer! Times are so hard right now...I read TBfriends everyday and am amazed at the number of foreclosures just in the area around Joe. I haven't seen it so much in our area, YET. Take care.

Michelle, so sorry your husband lost his job. You are right, it is a dog eating dog world right now. I think we are all fighting. I'm about to go postal on my bank for being VERY UNHELPFUL in re-adjusting my loan. I swear I would really like to know where that payoff money went they supposedly got.... people around here are loosing their jobs left and right, hence loosing their home, and first thing to go are the animals. Good luck to your husband, hope he finds a job soon.

I'm sorry Michelle, this has happened to Neil too, after 28 years at Meridian Yachts they closed the doors, so, now Neil is 53 and jobless. However, thank God he's been the frugal cheap man I have complained about for years lol...Thank God.....I'm employed at a stable cable company too. I understand these worries, because the horses are so expensive, down the road I may be working two jobs.

I am sorry to hear about things. I completely understand. My hubby's company decided to cut the owners salarys all together - so him and the other owner are not taking ANY money out of the company - but because they are the owners we are not eligable for unemployment at all. Everyone is having hard times and cutting back, so my clientele has been way down. SO - I am back to looking for a full time job again - probably in the corporate world I hate and was so elated to leave. It is really hard for all....... hopefully we can all hang in there and make it through.....
