Hi everyone, A friend of mine recently rescued a TB who has only been off the track for a couple of weeks. He is in good general health, but his body is quite sore. The vet has him on an anti-inflammatory currently, but in a few weeks, Lou would like to get him into massage therapy. If you know of a good equine massage therapist in the Petaluma area, can you please post or PM me with contact information?

Caryn, a lot of the folks at Harvest Moon Ranch (Sebastopol) use Kat Ripley. I haven't used her myself, but only because of finances. I don't have her number but I'm sure if you PM or email mkgbuegel she can give it to you. They all seem to like her and use her routinely (it seems like she's out there almost every week!) I've used Barbara Chasteen in the past; she's very good, but I believe she isn't doing much massage these days as she's pursuing other training.
Good luck, and if your friend finds some one else they like, perhaps you could post the info here for the rest of us to share?

Hi Caryn,
Yes, kat is very good, she is out at our ranch weekly, sometimes more, she was actually out today to work on one of mine. I will pm you with her contact info.
Barbara Chasteen is really good, but is mostly focusing on writing these days.
If your friend needs any help with detox info (an oh so important part of the post race horse life) or with herbs for achy bodies, please feel free to give her my email address, happy to share what I know. -M
