so things are finally looking up for me.
Last January we moved to a new province, I had to leave my great job at the pet resort.
Had to leave my family, missed out on the birth of my nephew, my dog died of 13 years. Was tough adjusting to life on an island.
I have a job right now that I don't really like, pay is good, but hate the atmosphere etc. It isn't where my heart is.
Last month as you know I took in a second dog from the local SPCA, the fellow who works there for some reason took a strong liking to me (and not in that way ) We chat all the time etc. I have been working with the new dog Buddy and he's come a long way since I have taken him in, however his leash manners are atrocious, he goes berserk when seeing other dogs. So, I called the guy at the SPCA today to extend my fostering time so that I could work with Buddy some more before sealing the deal on the adoption. He told me he was going to contact a friend who is a wonderful dog trainer. Well, He has got me a free training session, valued at over 100.00 for Buddy, to help me with the leash behaviour, so excited about that..................AND he told me there is a job opening up soon and he thinks I would be perfect for it. He wants to talk to me this week about a job at the SPCA. I wouldn't be making as much as I am now, but I would be in a job that mattered, I would be in a job that was making a difference in the lives of animals, whom I love so much. I am so excited.
Wish me luck. I have always wanted a job in the animal rescue field. I am so so excited about the possibility of finally being able to make a difference.
Okay thanks for letting me share, I had to share with people who had the same love for animals.
