I hate it when they say "she has nice babies", I wish people would realize that horses are good for other things besides being baby machines....

Browsing around the SE Washington Craigslist forums, I discovered several free or almost free horses. Enough to keep Chuck Walker in business, anyway... I'm not going to post them, because it's pointless if there isn't a network set up to save them. Until I get my trailer, I'm not going to read them, either.  |

Hi sacreddog. Welcome to the forum  You stated on another thread that if you had a trailer, you'd go get them. Is a ride all that you need? Do you have a place to keep them and do you want to keep them indefinitely? If you want to help them, give them some training and then re-home, are you capable of providing for them until a good home can be found or will you need some help with their day to day expenses? Perhaps, we can find a ride for Mom and baby. I'm not in the area, but there are a lot of folks on this board, who are. How far do you need to haul? |

I live in the Yakima area and rescue as many as I feasibly can. At this time we're pretty much topped out, but there are so many in need it is truly heartbreaking. I guess we're really no different than any other part of the country except for the proximity to Chuck's feedlot.
If anyone in this area can save a horse but doesn't have a trailer, please contact me and I will help! Pm me and I'll send my email address.
