found this on Spokane Craigslist today, look up the Blazer Horse registry. interesting read spokane.craigslist.org/grd/1085795331.htmlBlazer horse foundation herd in trouble (post falls) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 2009-03-21, 3:09PM PDT Neil Hinks the founder of the Blazer horse breed died this past February. He left behind an incredible breed of horse know for it's heart, disposition and athletic ability. He also left behind tremendous medical bills and a herd of roughly 125 head of horses to his widow. Norma is 88 years old and does not have the ability or financial means to care for these horses. With the terrible horse economy and the high cost of feed these horse are destine to slaughter. Neil's daughter will keep 25 mares and 10 stallions to continue this foundation herd. Of the remaining 80 horses a local group has been able to speak for 14 of them. We have offered Norma $180 dollars per horse. This would include worming and coggins since the horses are 1/2 mile over the Oregon line down by Nampa Idaho. Transportation is being arranged. These are all registered horses -- mares, geldings, stallions. They have had limited handling. We are throwing this out to the horse community to see if anyone else would like to purchase one of these Blazers for themselves. The more we move at one time the lower the cost for all. For more information on the Blazer breed or to see my local herd give me a call. Thanks to all for reading. God Bless you and your animals. Diane 208-819-4607
