I have an employee who is looking for a horse to adopt. Shes a dedicated rider, very experienced, spends all of her time around horses.
She is looking for a taller horse 16+ hands, gender doesn't matter, breed doesn't matter, but she is hoping to train this horse to jump, so a lighter breed might be preferable, sound is a must. She can handle just about any horse, so hot is no problem. Ex racers are fine.
She is located in Northern California. If you know of a possible match, please email me at mkgbuegel@yahoo.com

If she is willing to wait a year, I have Phoenix... he is just over two now, and a beautiful boy. He stands about 15.1 now, but is gone butt high again, so he will get taller this spring!

I have a 16.1 hand 15 year old black TB. I adopted him in mid November and have discovered that he is more horse than I am equipped to deal with right now(no arena or round pen, just open fields). He is very sweet and sound! I have discovered some issues with him but none that I don't believe couldn't be worked out. I am a weekend rider and I feel that he would benifit greatly from a more consistent regimen. I have not ridden him since I got him as I have been letting him gain some much needed weight and allowed him to settle in. If you would like to see pics of him you can go to the Equine rescue message board(the new CBER) and look under adopted horses, all others, then Dillon. It has been hard for me to make this decission but it sounds like this girl might be just what he needs! I live in Pullman Wa. so I am wondering if that is to far away from where she is? If you want more details on this guy I do have information from the people who took him to the auction, pleas don't hesitate to give me a call at 1-509-595-4131 or e-mail at kellychris245@hotmail.com.

Hi Dillon, I think shes looking for a slightly younger horse, since she is interested in training and competing. Under 10 would suit her best

Michelle, I just helped my trainer's assistant with re-homing a 6 year old OTTB at a rescue near Sacramento. She is a beautiful rider and great trainer, she just couldn't afford to keep him at Stanford any longer. She had him going nicely at w/t/c and was started over fences. He is 15'3 so if the 16hh is a pure requirement, he won't be a fit. However, he's a really neat horse with a great personality. His name is Dawsey and he can be found here: jdacres.org/current_horses.htmlScroll down about 2/3 on the page and he is on the left. If your friend is interested, I can put her in touch with the gal who was working with him.
