Hi all, There is a sweet boy needing a new home or a local foster home while he waits for his perfect family to adopt him. If you are interested, please contact Louise at louisevoisne@aim.com Here's what Louise had to say about Levi: He's a 20yo Grulla Reg QH gelding. He does have a bit of arthritis but is fine for light trails or arena. He is a sweet sweet boy and gorgeous to boot. Please help find him a great home. Even a foster situation until we can place him would be great. He's located in Antioch.Foster funds are available to cover feed. Louise and friends are starting up a new rescue here in the bay area. Their website it still under construction, but it is up Here's the link: www.thelastfurlong.org/

OH, wish he was up here, have a soft spot for old grulla guys, would foster or give him soft place to land even if I do already have enough!

I had a club member ask me last night to look out for a nice light riding horse for him.... he's a small man, and wants to do some walk/trot arena, and light trails... he is a beginner... how gentle is this boy? he would adopt outright

Hey Beth, I don't really know anything more about him. I'll send your question to Louise and cc you on it. Could be a great match

Thanks Heidi I know you don't "need" another horse to look after, but Levi would be one lucky horse to have you as a mom!!! Too bad we're so far apart.

Levi has been moved to Clayton and is hanging out with Louise's gelding there. He is still available and we have some more info: He's a registered QH and he officially just turned 20 As stated in the first post, he has some arthritis, but should handle light arena and trail work easily. Louise will ride him this weekend and I'll update you all on how he does. I'm told he is a doll! Here's a new pic of Levi and Lou: MTA: I cannot wait to see him without the winter coat. Hubba, Hubba, he's definitely a looker ;D

How did he ride??
There are plenty of people here who would take a safe and sane older guy on lease, if he can get down to So Cal he can stay with me and I'll do a lease only contract on him. We got Beths Sassy at age 21 and that was $1000 very well spent! (She's now 30 blind in one eye has no teeth and still likes to "run" (actually a slow lope) she heads straight for the fence (giving me heart attacks) but then turns her blind side to it and heads for the next one. She does not lay down to sleep and her knees no longer lock, but she can still roll ALL the way over when she decides to scratch her back.
I went to see Barbs kids saturday, and to visit Skye (Arab we got for $10 from the auction house last fall and have out on lease) and met a lady at the feed store in Hesperia looking for a horse for her daughter. Beth has freinds looking as well.

Hey Tock, I haven't heard how the ride went. I'll contact Louise and update I need to come down and meet Sassy, she sounds like a character.
