Wow, what a mess. Those poor horses. I am so glad that they are being looked after now. Hoping for the best.
One bright spot is that the TB racing industry is ready and willing to penalize and ban those owners that are prosecuted for neglect and cruelty!!! The industry is changing, it's just happening slowly.
Hmmm, when is the AQHA going to wake up and do what's right? That's a different ball game and off-topic, but couldn't help metioning it.

Paragallo has been in the spotlight for this kind of behavior before. But now the JC is taking better action to consider banning "trainers" like this from the sport. Of course, it certainly took years of buildup from public outcry. The president of NTRA, Alex Waldrop, states, "should the charges prove true, authorities should move swiftly to impose the most severe penalties applicable under the circumstances." AQHA...oh yes another topic for sure. Just like Alex Brown says- more responsibility needs to be put back on the breeders. AQHA seems to have no desire to regulate that. If anyone would like to help the TBs that were pulled off the feedlot from this story, you can see them here: ac4h.com/The ASPCA has the rest.
