All of the following horses are coming from the downsizing of a local racehorse breeding farm on Whidbey Island in WA. The owner of these horses is currently undergoing chemo and he is unable to care for them how he used to. We are helping him and his wife by trying to find homes for these TBs. If interested, call the phone number listed on the webshots photo album. more pictures can be viewed by poking around the webshots album. The primary concern with these horses is that they have great homes. They are not for sale, but will be given to appropriate, approved homes. The owner currently thinks that he wants the babies back from the bred mares, but that is still up in the air, as his condition varies daily. Keeping the babies is negotiable.
Honey Bear Berry
Berry is a 2004 chestnut mare who raced for a short while at local tracks. She is approximately 16.1hh and spent around 60 days undersaddle with a hunter/jumper rider last winter. She has had the past year off and may be in foal to TwigNBerries for a summer 2009 foal, but this has not been confirmed. Berry is a bit feisty and needs a fairly experienced rider/handler.

High Caliber Lady
Lady is a dark bay 2001 grandaughter of Seattle Slew. She raced once and blew a tendon, sending her home. Currently she appears sound, but has not been undersaddle since being on the track. Lady is an excellent sporthorse breeding prospect. Lady is the alpha mare in the field and is around 16.2hh. She is possibly in foal to TwigNBerries for a summer 2009 foal.

Dithyramb
Di is a very well bred 2005 mare who would make someone a great broodmare. She was never sound enough to race well on the track, as she had soft tissue issues with her knees, although she appears sound in the field. Di has a calm disposition and is a slight loner, not interacting with the other mares as much. She is around 15.3-16hh and is dark bay with a white star. Di is likely in foal to TwigNBerries for a summer 2009 baby.

Bellathumbalina
Lena is a very cute 2006 dark bay filly with a stripe. She is super curious and was interested in us as we took pictures and worked with the mares. She is not broken to saddle and has never been raced. Lena is approximately 15.3-16hh. Lena is not in foal and her owners would like her to find a racing home, if possible.

Tulip Belle
Belle is a chestnut 2006 filly with a blaze that looks like a tulip on her forehead. She is very friendly and curious and allowed us to halter her and work with her from the ground. She is not undersaddle and has never raced. Belle is approximately 15.1-15.2hh and is quite playful. Belle was favoring her left front when we were there, but the cause was not identified. She was not swollen and there was no heat from fetlock up. Belle is not in foal and her owners would like to her to find a racing home if possible.

Lootie
Lootie is a 2004 gray mare who has raced but has not been undersaddle since then. She has an unidentified lump on one of her hind legs, but this did not appear to make her lame. Lootie is a big bodied 16.2hh and has an independent spirit. She is "second in command" in the field and would grind her teeth at the other mares to get her own way. Lootie is possibly in foal to TwigNBerries for a summer 2009 foal.

Pass Lake
Lake is a lovely 2005 bay filly with a huge blaze. She is well balanced and has great bone and huge feet. Lake was too timid to let us touch her, but was curious about why we were there. She has not raced and it is unknown if she has been undersaddle. It is also unknown if Lake is in foal to TwigNBerries.

TwigNBerries (not available for sale/giveaway)
Twig is a big bodied bay TB stallion that has great sporthorse and racehorse appeal. His even temperament and structural correctness define him.
