So - my poor boxer has ended up with an Idolent ulcer of his cornea that is covering around 3/4 of the total surface area. OUCH - poor kid! And, turns out the only way to get this type of ulcer to heal is to do a surgery to remove the tissue that is not growing correctly, place a temporary contact lense over it, and then let it re-heal. Not a complicated procedure - BUT the cost is the killer We are being quoted $900-$1750ish by several doctors. THAT means - I need to get some clients scheduled If anyone is interested in scheduling a wellness exam or nutritional workup - now is the time Hubby is NOT happy and is not wanting me to do the procedure until cash is in hand... So, I a working my tail off to make that happen Pass this on to friend/family/neighbors. I am doing full wellness workups for $55 which includes the farm call and full nutritional evaluations for $45 - Can do a combined call for $65 per horse Thanks ALL! Sara

Sara, over 6 years ago I got a 2 yr old rescue Corso from a mastiff group, that was shown to have congenital cataracts. This amazing dog had been trained in many things and had done so with almost no vision, which the owner did not even realize. The Mastiff group and I raised funds for his surgery and it was done at the Animal Eye Clinic in Seattle, I believe the address was on 52nd or 55th street above the U district, I would have to double check. They were exceptional in both the work and the care they took of my dog. The Doctor is known throughout the U.S. and has had clients from all over the country. The double surgery was successful and I still have my guy today. The funny thing is, he LOVED the people in that clinic, whenever we go back for a checkup, he is greeting them ( he is a moaner/talker) and very excited to see them. This tells me alot as he is a sensitive, smart breed. I would not hesitate to allow them to do whatever they thought best and how it needed to be done, once all the things such as anesthesia sensitivity, have been discussed. They were thorough and conscientious.
