On saturday Ken and I are heading over Chinook pass to get 4 ton of hay so as we are approaching the small town of Green Water we are traveling 52mph in a 35mph zone. The cop didnt even have to turn on his lights, just pointed to the side of the road. So as I am digging for our registration & proof of insurance the cop is talking to Ken and he says "well Im not going to give you a ticket, you know your going WAAAAY too fast, but since I see you have a horse trailer you want a FREE horse? I have a 27yr old thats got too much go for my kid and now the former owners wont take it back and I just cant kill it" We said no, have all the horses we need and proceeded on without getting a ticket. Let me tell ya, lots of responses went through my head but since we were getting out of what would have been a very large ticket I kept my mouth shut. I couldnt believe what I had heard.
