I posted on seattle area craigslist and have been flagged down. Am I missing something I think it is within the terms of use! Anyone have this problem? I am figuring its just someone being a big jerk and I just posted so they worked fast

I'm not sure what the rules are to posting. I think if you follow them, then there's less of a chance of flagging. These flaggers seem to have a lot of time on their hands.

Jessie, you might not want to promote CBER in Seattle right now...too many people with too much caffeine foam at the mouth at the mention of CBER....perhaps promote other rescues or the new sites for advertising horses up for adoption...since we want people to adopt out to responsible new owners...

wow jessie, what did you say to get flagged? I see a lot of complaints from people who have been flagged for no reason.

It seems that you don't really need a reason to be flagged on CL...at least in our neck of the woods...it seems that if Feedlot or CBER gets mentioned, the trolls come out and start flagging...they are mostly disgruntled and misinformed people who have decided that CBER is right up there with Satan and must be stopped from saving horses from a gruesome death, no matter what..... its a shame that they can't find something positive and constructive to do with their lives...

Worse, they post horribly destructive posts about CBER and try to discourage adoptions. Please, let's not post on CL. It does more harm than good IMO. I posted there for nearly two years but then the harpies started trouble and they are relentless and they sow doubt in people's minds.

Please do not engage these people on CL. We've been down that road several times before. They may stop flagging you, but you'll be dizzy trying to keep up with their horrible anti-CBER posts on various CL boards. Just let it go.

Would it still be alright to contact individually those posting horse wanted ads? Unless we some how make them angry, I can't see them posting bad CL's (since all we're doing is trying to help them).
Then again, I am not as jaded as I think, YET.

Then again, I am not as jaded as I think, YET. I think emailing individuals who are looking for a horse is OK, but IMO CL ads for CBER are an invitation to trouble. This stuff has been going on for a long time. I don't know the "whys and wherefores" but some of it is personal and aimed at individuals in CBER. Some of them are just crazy and angry at CBER over a perceived slight of some sort. Some, IMO, are crazy w/grief when a horse ships or dies. On the old board, every time a horse shipped or died, it seemed that the harpies would start screeching about how all of it was CBER's fault, "if only. . ., etc." It's weird but, IMO, it can be very damaging. I believe that CBER asked us not to use CL anymore.

My ad for my Sun Conure got flagged and there was NOTHING wrong with it. It looks like they flag it even if they think it's in the wrong place... Some people, I swear!!! BTW, rehoming a 3 year old Sun Conure if anyone is interested:) I am allergic to him.
