Just curios, for those of you buying Bermuda, what do you currently pay for the ton? Where is your hay coming from (down here we have the option of Arizona or El Centro Hay).
I'm trying to stick with the Arizona hay, it has less clumps/dirt/rocks in it than what I've seen on the El Centro.
Has anybody contacted any growers directly? Would you get a better deal than going through a co-op?
I'm just trying to get ideas on better cost.
Thanks :-)

Depending on your capacity to store - if you can take a full semi load i suggest doing some research on the internet and bringing in some good grass hay from outside. Look for some nice rye grass(much better than costal or bermuda) or ask around about some good Teff hay. That is my suggestion. If you can't handle big loads- then go for the arizona hay for sure. TRY to get a good 2nd cutting that is still green.
