Hi All,
I was chosen as one of the three trainers this year to compete in the challenge! EEEEKKK!! What have I gotten myself into??
Part of the scoring comes from the crowd. I would love it you would come out and watch and support me, 'cuz I am going to need all the help I can get!
August 22 and 23
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This Year's Challenge Trainers
Evan Bonner, Parelli Certified Randy Byers, John Lyons Certified Jamie Thomas, Independant
The Challenge starts off each day with two exciting hours, with the trainers working side by side, in separate round pens, using their own style of training to soften, educate and saddle start a young or unbroken horse.
Following the horse starting challenge on both days there will be demonstrations and educational seminars. Vendors will also be present to help you with your horse needs.
For more information please contact Lisa Soete by email: KSCchallenge2009@hotmail.com or by phone (360)509-3995.

AWESOME pics, Thanks for sharing-what is the story of this filly? How old and what prior handling had she had? You do such an amazing job-when are you going to teach clinics? Thanks :-) Lisa

Let's see..2 year old paint filly Western Pleasure type but with cow cutting blood REALLY nice horse with a great mind. Not spooky! Had good basics by the owner, but pretty one sided. I gave the owner advice about balance and handling her equally on both sides. Owner was very pleased and was thrilled how much I got done in 4 hours. Give clinics? Not! That is what Steve Rother is for!
