Hey all, hows it going? I would like to say fine, but its taken a turn for the not so good. (Venting here so bare with me) This story starts out with me having to have a hysterectomy which I scheduled far enough out to avoid complications at work. Well, 4 days before surgery, and after my parents made plans to come here to help me & hubby out I got laid off from my work....4 friggin days before surgery no doubt! Way to late to cancel, and much to late for my parents to get a refund on plane tickets. So i went ahead with surgery, and instead of just doing it laproscopically like planned, they had a hard time and had to do the big bikini incision. Boy was I shocked when I finally came around, not what I had planned at all. So I am out of the hospital and feeling pretty good. I am going against doctors orders and driving myself to the library each day to search for work but otherwise being good. My poor horses think i have abandoned them. Mr Turtle thinks he is on permanent vacation, and is currently acting like a rodeo bronc. So, hopefully things will turn around for the good and I will find that job that I really love and that will be challenging and have a good retirement plan so that I will be able to stay there for the rest of my working days.....Hope you all are well, and that life has not gone all crazy for you.

Oh Michelle, I'm so sorry, sounds like we all are going through some crappy times. My BF got layed off, and I had to take a huge paycut, despite doing the work of 3 people. On the other hand, I still have a job, and that I'm thankful for. Hang in there, you're not alone, we can get through this somehow.....

Sorry to hear of your misfortunes (both), but maybe you will look back on the job part as a blessing in disguise. My boyfriend best friend was laid off after 16 years with the same company!!, 4 months later, he has been hired at another, better hours, closer commute and more pay. chin up!!, look for the silver lining! I will say a prayer things turn for the better soon.

Thanks all! I dont have any new pictures to post of Turtle, but he is very fat & sassy. I have not been able to ride in over 2 months so he is full of piss and vinegar. He got his feet done last weekend so hopefully over Turkey day weekend I can get out and ride. He HATES his winter blanket and I hope that soon it will stop raining so he can go roll and get dirty. I will post pictures soon
