I am so very sorry. We were all hoping for the best for this sweet boy. I really don't know what to say- it's just so hard to understand when this happens. I do know we all wish we could give you a hug and let you know that your love and kindness DID make a difference in the life of this horse. He passed while surrounded by people who cared about him. Take care and let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

My heart reaches out to you in this sad time. I was also hoping for a complete recovery for your Yosemite. Bless you for all you did for him in his time of need.

I'm so very sorry.
You did what you could, as I'm sure his vets did too. It was his time, but you gave him a loving end.

What really strikes me about this thread is the picture of the big medical team surrounding Yosemite at the vet hostpital....and contrast that with Yosemite on the feedlot...he had been dropped off at the feedlot, abandoned and all alone.
Joan, that's the huge difference you made in Yosemite's life...from being abandoned by his humans, to being surrounded by caring humans....what a gift!

Hugs. Tahoe spent a long time and went through two WSU surgeries. The vets and staff are wonderful there. Yosemite knew he was being taken care of and was loved. So sorry he didn't have time to experience life with you.

I'm so sorry... Thank you for helping Yosemite. Sometimes you must be thankful for unanswered prayers- he is now in a better place running free in green grass and he DID have a happy ending, because he left this world peacfully, not in a slaughterhouse. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Big hugs coming your way. It doesn't make up for his fuzzy self, but know that you are loved and so was he.
