ADOPT FEE: $475 Treasure - 2 - 4 year old, 14h, bay QH type filly. This filly has the sweetest expression and a very kind eye. She does not seem to know much but was willing to try what I asked of her. Her feet are in terrible shape! She has flares and wings on her hind feet so corrective farrier care will probably be needed to straighten her out. She is a pretty filly with a large hip that should develop into a great prospect. $TBD Please contact Deb Logstrom for more information.www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=739

I can't believe she hasn't been scooped up. Her feet can be corrected with regular farrier care she's not clubbed just flared.

Hi Penny Saw your post about offering Treasure a home. Usually the funds that have gone to an outright adoption are automatically moved to the next horse in need w/ a home offer......not sure if there's one lined up already or not. I would contact the PS and let them know you're offering in case no one else is waiting. You are approved, right? They'll need to know that as well.....I can check if you're not sure, just need your name. Thanks! Stacie Okay guys I will offer this girl a home if she has no offers if I can get the funds I paid transferred from Zen due to his outright adoption she will have either 75.00 or 100.00 toward her bail.

Sent Leosolis an email to confirm her status on TWR....not sure whether anything's come in or not. At this point, she still needs bail, QT/Board, and a home....

Treasure has been bailed and will be coming to my home as soon as QT is done. Deb notified me Saturday that her full bail was raise and she has been taken off the lot. I will be bringing her home as soon as she is well enough.

Thank you everyone and thanks to the TW board for helping with the bail. She received 375.00 from them in addition to my 100.00 to my knowledge and I will make sure I donate at least that to future horses in need or to the angel fund.

UPDATE: Treasure is doing well her knee continues to recover. I decided the other day to see if she had ever had a saddle on her and she accepted it with grace it looks like she at some point had someone working with her, though they chose not to do any farrier care. She walked around with it no problems. The vet and I think she is about 4+ to 5 years old. Her feet are looking better. The farrier was out the other day and trimmed her and she stood like a good girl. When she gets better I will see how much training she has had and work on starting her so that she can at some point find a young girl or boy of her own. She is the cutest little QT pony

She's darling. I am so glad she has a loving home!!! What did your farrier and vet say about her hind feet? My CBER girl, Gypsy will not let the farrier near her feet, she just doesn't trust easily, so I've had to trim her. My farrier was awesome about teaching me, but there is sooooo much I don't know and I'd like to learn as much as possible There looks like deep ridges in both hind feet and then flare, do they think she foundered or is it something else? Why is her left toe so long?

She has settled quite a bit with the farrier and let him trim with no problems this time. The first couple of times he had to do a little reprimanding with her to get her to stand still, it worked great. He is very patient I will need to get new pictures up again because her feet are shrinking back almost normal size now. It does look like she had some stress in the past with the ridges but the vet thinks shes fine also her feet are most likely that way because she never had her feet done 4 to 5yrs with no foot care!!!!!!!! Sad isn't it. I will post new pictures as soon as I get them. She looks great. Oh as far as the difference in length. The farrier didn't want to go to far back into the quick and the quick was farther out on that side so it is a gradual trimming not to cause pain.

Awwwww poor baby. 4 or 5 years, my goodness, that is heartbreaking. Great to hear how well she is doing. I'll look forward to your updates. She's not only a beauty, but sounds like a love too My favorite is the first picture. Walking and eating, the girl can certainly multi-task!
