16 - 18 year old, 15.2h, Leopard Appy gelding. This uniquely colored gelding was nice on the ground, respected Jeff's space, was nice to bridle and ride. He split reined well and neck reined okay. He was not super responsive to leg but all and all was nice to ride. He has a smooth gait a great eye and a kind demeanor. He lifted his feet willingly and he appears to have had hoof care. A nice riding horse that was sound at the time of assessment. Please contact Tash Johnson for more information.EMAIL:sand_tiger@hotmail.com$770 HOME OFFERS:

OMG look at the color on this one!! Crap, I wonder if Husband would let me foster 2? This fellow is big enough for Hubby, though, and I don't think Tango is. Maybe...GAAA!!! TOO MANY APPYS!!! If I had to choose one permanently for our home, though, it would have to be Pop Corn. He is big enough for Brian, and I promised I wouldn't bring home any more horses too small for him to ride unless they were fosters. We are leaving on vacation tomorrow, so the stupid truck couldn't be coming at a worse time. I don't know what I can get done today, with all I am doing to get ready for the trip. I feel like bursting into tears...

Posted a photo ad on Bay Area Equestrian Network for Pop Corn & Cookie Crumb, and mentions all four Appys at risk.

Bad News, and Good News...
Bad News: Pop Corn was apparently kicked or something at the lot and is now very lame.
Good News: He has TWO home offers even with his new condition... he would need help with bail.

This means he can't ship, doesn't it? At least not this truck? Does that give us time to get him evaluated and raise bail? I hate to see any horse there for even 5 minutes longer, though, you never know what can go wrong.

unfortunately they don't follow 'the rules' very well... Chuck will ship any horse that he can get to run up the chutes.

Right now I am just praying there is still time. Once they decide to start weighing and tagging, it is too late.

Remember the Angel Fund has around $400 in it! It can be used if you are an approved adopter...

He is being pulled from the lot and will be in QT soon. Poor baby. I hope his injury is doing better this morning.

This is wonderful news. What a beautiful boy! May you have years of happiness. I can remember when this kind of horse would have sold you a lot of money!

Yes, he is Brian's anniversary present! Up half the night crying and scrambling, but we got it figured out. We even have transport set up for when he finishes QT next month (with Gdsmom, who is in Utah and is picking up her rescue). Whew. I need a nap.

He is going to be one GORGEOUS boy, no matter what you do with him, he will be a looker!! I LOVE his mane, those Mohawks crack me up!

Yes, a Mohawk with spots!! I love that they go right up into his mane. I can't wait to get him all slicked up and take new photos. I am worried he is going to cause traffic accidents. :)Everyone around here already does double takes at Sierra (all QH owners in my neighborhood).

Sigh. Gotta wait 30 days to see him myself, but maybe Deb will have a minute to snap a few (yeah, right, busy lady she is). He is still hurting on that leg where he got kicked, but the vet is going out to draw for Coggins and do inoculations, so he will have it assessed again at that time. Deb has him on bute for now.

Deb says he is walking much better today, but cried all night, missing the ASS that dumped him on the lot in the first place. Poor sweet baby. I can't wait to get him home. I am sure Sierra will be in love. Pal, well, we will see what he thinks, but he was picked up with a bachelor herd, so I am sure they will be able to work things out. Our pasture is divided, so we have time for them to get aquainted over the fences first.

Deb reported today (between hay delivery and everything else going on) that Dazzler didn't cry last night and the swelling on his leg and general movement are much improved. I just want to hug him and tell him it will be okay.
