No, no US... we didn't really think she took, she was quite amorous for several months...
now we know she is just a hussy, and likes raw S-E-X day and night for months on end, and even near death the old man was willing to TRY to satisfy his mate!!! LOL!!
I can honestly say his last year was one of his best. :-)
then, she started getting 'pudgie' so we had her palp'ed... and well.... ahem. now we are on foal watch. and... well... guess she 'took' on about the FIRST DAY they did it!
so now, it is official. Snow is a very *friendly* person.
a preggers very *friendly* person.
but I guess not so much, at least she only had one husband...
this year.
OK, can we do cheap pink wine???
crackers and cheese with that???
I'll make Peg get us on line tonight... no matter WHAT!!!

Got more pics this afternoon, still no baby... of course, or I'd be shouting from the hills... :-) the camera is UP, but only Peg has the link... hmmmm.... I'll work her over when she gets home. Snow is lovie, and, you can see from the pics how she's feeling... hehe... tired, and done with this. her vulva is so loose she can't clamp her tail down now, and it looks like she had a caslick her perineal tissue hangs so low! but it's not a caslick, and there is not pocket there... just loose. anyway... keep up the guessing! hehe... I luv this, but I luv the baby even more!!!        |

Hmmm...I think two days yet. She is much closer than those first pics (*duh!!!*) But think it could be a bit more ripening. She is so lovely! V.

:-) thanks. we had a little flurry of kicking at belly, swishing tail, pooping, not eating all of her hay tonight, then laying flat out down... but of course once we all assembled... she joined us to see what we were up to... webcam is up, and works on our local computer but is having problems refreshing on line, but it is at www.founder-rehab.com/snowflake.html if you want to keep checking... we are trying for streaming video, but will start by being happy with frequent refreshes on the pic! she can leave the stall, btw, so it isn't perfect... she has a paddock outside that is about 3 times the stall size, and her hay is out there... sorry. |

OHHHH, I hate our filter here at work, I can't see the lifecam, and in the other picture she's just laying there, and I don't think it lets me refresh....

yeah, we had to disable the refreshing one due to bandwidth last night...
and this morning about 4 she went outside and won't go back in! argh, mares!
I'm pooped, and off to work myself.......

daddy was a leopard, mom is black, as you see, with a blanket with spots... her brother/twin is blanketed up to his withers, and roaned all over, but also black base, and has spots....
so, with both having the LP gene, this one will have it, but how it is expressed... WHO knows!
half the fun of appy's!
oh, and it will be either black or bay, higher odds for bay.
:-)
she has a small star, and who knows on him, he was white all over! :-)

sheesh, I'm gonna have to go out there and just take regular pictures for ya'll!
she is grumpy, and not wanting to eat, peeing a lot, and just miserable,
so, who knows! could be a few minutes, or a few days. LOL! MARES.
I'm hoping for tomorrow night now... so it's a friday and we can stay up all night and play baby... :=)

Today is the day I predict.....filly....big blanket with lots of spots. Nice blaze face and 3 socks. Should be about 3:30 this afternoon. ;D Now, if that all comes true I'll open a fortunetellers booth!! LOL.
I would love to see some new pics of the udder. Has she waxed or started leaking milk? I didn't think the previous udder pics showed her quite ready so would really like to see some new ones.
For all of you Sophie fans, she is doing really well. Gotten into the routine and nickers when its time to come up for her special food. She will soon be joined with Senior feed by my older Morgan guy. Buddy is now at the end of useful teeth. He is now 22 and not keeping his weight quite as well as in the past through the summer. (first time the vet said he was at a perfect-not fat weight, though!! LOL) Vet said sophie was actually too fat. I just had to ask her if she had ever thought any of my horses were too skinny!! She just laughed!
Looking forward to seeing this little one! Vicki

Well, I hope you are right on the date but wrong on the time! I work an hour away from home, and Beth might or might not be home depending on how long the appt goes to set up her daughters knee surgery.

Ok, since we are on the topic of fat appy's.....Annie, the little gal I rescued the end of April is getting HUGE! She has a huge belly, that kinda hangs and sometimes will look really big on the right side....then other times, it looks in proportion. She has a gigantic belly, but her topline doesn't show obesity....it's ALL belly.....She has NO indentation in her flank area, and her belly kinda hangs in the back like a pregnant mare.....What does this sound like? Possibly pregnant? I will have her palpated when I start my new job (At a vet clinic!)....I guess I need to post pics!! It is hilarious, if you look at her from the backside you can't see anything but belly hang.....Is it normal for a horse who may just be 'fat' to not get fat anywhere but the belly? Her belly is HUGE! She was out with a stallion when we got her, that is how she got hurt.......Her udder and teats look normal.....

Hey!!!! WELCOME!!!
Everybody, this is the awesome woman who now owns my baby from one of our PMU rescues, Chip was his name, and he was an orphan, just for a few months, then another of the PMU mares adopted and started nursing him when I weaned him from buckets...
She named him Bubba now.
and he looks FANTABULOUS!!!
I need to make you a CD Kim, we watched Chips delivery beginning to perfect end, and I have it all on camera!

this is a great site, hang out and get to know everyone!
and I"ll post more pics of Snow's privates... hehe.. she won't mind...
we're hoping for tonight... she sure seems ready, but not waxed....
webcam works on and off so don't give up trying to see sometimes, I'll lock her in in an hour when she is done with her dinner...
