We have a mare due in the next two weeks, (bred Oct 20)
maiden, and bags are just starting some mild puffing, no real 'filing' or even 'maturing'...
in any case...
I know the moon is everyone's fav for predictions...
so, when is she gonna pop???
do ya need pics???
she is HUGE... :-)
waddling...
and uncomfy but still pushy and HUNGRY!!! :-)

I know Beth took pictures yesterday of her, but between a horse show all day yesterday, them coming home to our old stallion colicing, not much time. I'll cross post about the stallion, Rakush.

I went out and fed checked her over and left for the day and my hubby called 2 hours later and we had a baby out in the pasture!! ~right after baby was born  ~My friends before I got home  |

Her bag is developing rapidly, by day before yesterday those nips were pointing OUT!
LOL... she may give me a birthday present!!! LOL!!!

gotta get more pics, we are bagging up more and more every day now, but she is still hungry, grumpy and 'nesting' (aka loving having a big ole stall to herself...)
haven't put down any stall bedding yet, don't want her to make it a pig stye...
but there are four bales of straw at the ready outside her door...
and we are about ready to turn on the foal cam!

hmmm... I guess so...
so long as you don't comment on my hair doo... or my pajamas!!!
last foaling 'on cam' I was in pjs with a HORRIBLE hair sticking straight up... and I totally forgot! I had my glasses on, and all... oh dear, I was a sight!
but otherwise, yep, if she is 'in' and you wanna... we have the bandwidth, and we'll keep the camera rolling!
to be set up this week. :-) and it supports streaming video now, instead of the still shots every few seconds.
Do we have to make up signs? "its a boy" "its a girl" "giving enema" "snack time"
hehe.....

LOL.. no, it's an appy baby,
the last foal of our stallion lost just last weekend.
S/he will be my daughter's to raise and train all by herself... from the minute it hits this earth.
we are still waiting!!! no birthday present for ME this time!
can't hurry mother nature I guess!!!

Well, we are making progress... her bags are matureing, filling down her abdomen now on both sides. her tail dock softening, and her vulva is bulging out now.
She is officially happy to stand in her foaling stall... waiting.
she's not sure for 'what'... hehe...
but she's still hungry. we're making a warm mash for her now, beet pulp, some sweet stuff for dressing... her vits and minerals... ya know... good stuff.
she gets her high protien bowl in the am... by the feed guy, we get to give her the luvin' in a bowl. :=)
she is locked into the foaling stall and paddock now at night, let into the adjacent larger paddock too during the days tho
and we put down some straw in 1/3 of her stall tonight to get her used to it. :=) that was a surprise to her hehe...
she is happy to have her belly rubbed... and fine with us being all around her, so we are hoping for no problems but don't think she'll mind help if needed.
Jeni found all of the foal halters today, so we'll clean them all up to be fresh... I think it's funny how small they look now, knowing how huge they'll be on the baby at first! LOL!
camera goes up in the am... and we'll put a link on here!

sigh... still no baby,
camera should be up by tomorrow, it's working, just not broadcasting on our website...
argh...
she is quiet... vulva with bloody show, and very soft and bulging...
boobies same... no wax yet, but I'm betting not too long..
however... you KNOW maidens. she will foal in her own due time! Not ours!
