Good eyes, figi. I saw that ad earlier this morning and I didn't see the elephant. Looks like someone was playing with photoshop(?). LOL

lol, unless of course they are desensitizing... all sorts of weird stuff gets thrown around some NH places I have been, and there HAVE been stuffed animals in a couple of them.

Anyone near this guy? Tash? I think he sounds like he might be a nice horse... but he is SO far away! can anyone go look at him?
PS: I did call and talk to her, and the elephant is a photoshop joke... there was a huge orange cone there, and it was distracting, but otherwise a good pic, so they photoshopped an elephant in there for fun... :-) she got a good chuckle that she made a list thread over that!

Yes PL, I am looking for an addition... it became painfully obvious this year at our state championships that Bob Marley has bad memories that cause him severe anxiety at two times, number one is in crowds of horses... more so if there are any flags... but just a crowd puts him in a tizzy, and he spins... frantically. dangerously. the second is when he is at a speed event... and this was better this year at our home shows... he finally calmed down in the last two months of shows this season... but at state, he started bucking and just freaking when he saw the arena... he did a little bit better on Calm And Cool... one time, but the next day it didn't even touch him, all I was able to do was walk and trot the courses, and cantered home once or twice... he crow hopped to the finish line even in Hurry Scurry, his FAVORITE event... he luvs to jump.
So, I have to realize that somewhere in his past he was asked for more than he could give. Last year he bucked Leesha off a dozen times, mostly on the 'way home'... and he got me off once. He got me off again once this year... and I became more cautious, but after July off he was better... so I thought we'd made a breakthru, sadly, at state he was even worse... and it is just not fair to him to 'push' him that way...
So, he will be my trail riding 'rock' and maybe I can find a kid who wants to jump at home? who knows... he will stay mine tho... he is in his 20's and sound, and happy... and hey, that is good 'nuf for me. I just need one for shows...

oh, and he was a stud until just a couple of years ago... cut late... what a nice decision! he is apparently 'over' that part of his life... :-)

Longacres Farm, a local riding school, is closing, and they are selling that exact type of arena. Maybe you could get more time off in July, Beth, and we could pack up an arena for you to take home? Or maybe this would be a way to get Miss Beckybee to come to the campout? www.longacresfarm.com/school/closure_sale.htmBeth, that horse is gorgeous. I can't tell from the photos, but is he a medicine hat? His warrior shield is small and divided in two, but who's counting? He doesn't look real. I think he wants to come home with you ...

FYI - that price is pretty high that they are quoting. We are now pricing out the clear span type arenas because of the hassels we are having to get permits for our indoor - and for a 100x140 clearspan with ends we were quoted $14,200 which included shipping. That is brand new adn exactly what you see in the picture except the one we are looking at also has it set up with skylights and side vents to make sure there is no interior condensation. www.clearspan.com or Farmtek carries them as well Nice thing? Most areas don't require a permit to put the structure up - so it can save HUGE in that department! Of course you still have footing to figure out and lighting if you wanted it. Sara

;D ;D ;D Your funny! I ordered some more herbs from you friend at Half Moon herbals. I tried the calming one last time and it did nothing for her. I talked to my vet and we did a hormone injection on her and I have new horse!! So I think it was her heat cycle giving us such a hard time. So this time I'm going to try the moody mare and hope the raspberry leaves help her as much as the shots did.

Still trying to down load taking a VERY long time. Photo bucket is taking forever its only 38% done.
He was a very good boy. We first took him in to the round pin and let him move around. The owner got on him and did walk trot the I got on him. I have real bad anxiety about getting on a horse I don't know so I was shaking like mad. He was wanting to go back to his friends but he did good out in an open field. He was very hard to make go but my strips were way to long. She had a wonder bit on him and that would be the first thing I would change. He hated it. My friend Kim also rode him and she was able to get him to canter longer. I think he has been packing newbies around to long and needs a little refresher course and a pair of spurs! He picked up his feet nicely and was a very nice horse. I even put my 4 year old on him and lead him around. Over all he was a good boy I think she is really needing to sell him she called me like 4 times to get me out and even took a sick day just in case I wanted to come see him today. Her dog got hurt and she used all her savings saving the dog.
All right video to come its now 60%
