OMG! The chanel 5 truck just came driving up my driveway, and I ran out to see what was up... dogs barking and all... and out jumps the anchor woman and her hubby the camera man... and oh dear, they wanted an interview! Me in my jammie bottoms and slippers, and no shower yet, no make up!!! I look horrid! but the word on Horse rescue and the onslaught of dumped and free horses was worth it, the word out to the general public on the reality of feedlots in our Bay Area and truckloads of horses shippped to slaughter every week...
those of you out of the area can watch me on the NBC news website tomorrow on the link to news pieces from the day before... I'm still freaking that I was disheveled and on camera! argh...
oh, they got lots of pics of our rescue horses too, Phoenix and Sundance are in there! and my weenie dog too... :=)

I'll try to find the link to the clip on the internet site tomorrow... is there a way to save it? I'm sure there will only be a few seconds of us, but hey, so long as they word gets out! The bay my doxie and I are petting is little teeny, scrawny Phoenix! He is all growd up now! then, let's see, the palamino is a PMU mare, the mom of the bay you first see by the fence with the striped face... Rocky is the sorrel paint with his nose fogging the camera... :-) a rescue mare had him here 4 years plus ago! we have her too... that is Sally... you saw big old Taffy, and that was Sissy in with her... they live in the back yard this time of year as they need flat land... Sundance was there of course!!! hehe, they are all sooooo dirty! but hey... at least they have food and water and shelter...
I hope I got a good piece of info out to the public...

I'm not much for not being prepared... glad it went well.... and now ya'll know what my ranch is like mid winter in the mud... with no warning! LOL! The ultimate of a home or site visit unannounced! LOL... on tape for the world to see huh?

Hey, you looked great! And I like the longer hair!!!
I need to watch it again, didn't see Baron there and wanted to point him out to Chris!
Good job by the way....my dad called because he'd seen it....couldn't believe people would send their horses to be canned because they couldn't feed them.....I told him that Scott had instructions to put Reno down if something happened to me and my short list of approved friends couldn't take him. He was surprised....but agreed.

Poor Baron, he is over in the gelding pasture, and they never made it that far! they stuck to that one paddock, and got good pics there... you need to bring Chris over tho! at least MEET Mr Baron! :-) I found someone for Phoenix... I think... he will be a gift contract... but a good home is the plan....

I'm working hard to help find a good, and the RIGHT home for Lacy so that Chris can take Baron home if they get along. She doesn't want to just dump her and wants to be sure she'll be safe. Wish all owners were like that...
