So what do you want to do Tash? Shall we pool our money or use some of the AG fund & get her pulled ASAP! Who can take her in & get her up to weight? Who can transport off the lot & get her to QT?
Anyone who wants to volunteer now is the time!

I would love to help. What can I do? I don't know if I have the kind of space it would take to QT and I've never dealt with QT before. I am an approved adopter. I have 4 acres and a 9 stall barn (which includes 2 foaling stalls and I have had foals here before). I currently have 4 horses so I would have the space for her if I can figure out the QT issue. I am also not rich.
So what it comes down to is I have space, just not lots of cash.
Horses here are fat and happy. I helped with a reconditioning of an Arab mare last winter. She came to me in almost this same condition (minus the pregnancy issue). In 3 months, I had her fat and happy.
So, again, what can I do?

gypsy79 where are you located? Can you transport?
As for basic QT, keep the horse away from your other horses for about 30 days. But if shes sick? think 90 days & vet bills!
I have 3 horses off the other feedlot, they were all fine, thin but fine health wise & I never need to call a vet.
However getting her weight up is a tough job!
Also I found out the hard way but if you take in a mare just figure she may have a bun in the oven, mine did even though she didn't show at the lot or when I got her home.
Last a lot of these horses are spent emotionally, they are thankful & kind to those of us that give them care & love. But sometimes they give up on life & pass away.
gypsy79 are you really ready for this task?

So she has two offers of a home, we need to get some pledges going fast to get her off the lot, vetted, and fed. I'm pretty tight this month but I will pledge $50 for her, Tash has pledged $100, so we just need $250. We can do it!

Don't know about the auction on Sunday TASH. I have to check with husband. I'll get back to you later tonight or tomorrow. Okay?
And does anybody have tips for QT?
How far away from other horses do they need to be kept in order to not infect my own?
Other issues around QT that I should know?
Advice please!

She will need more than just $400 bail - she needs bail + vet + transport + senior feed.
I can offer $100.

The PS needs to make the decision where she is going first. I can certainly help with transport if needed. I have a big cushy trailer for her..... and a hole in the ground with her previous owners name on it!

I just sent in my pledge... Payment Sent (ID #8UL84175ET651115Y)
I don't know that there is anything more that we can do until we hear from her PS... unless we want to try and raise funds for her for vet/qt/transport? I am sure she is going to need it...
