Pete only has two donations. Who else can help:
Let's not forget what Aleta said in Lori's thread:
"All you silent members out there....you are here hopefully to find out about rescuing horses. There are wonderful opportunities here to personally make a huge difference in the life of one or more of these horses. Each of us sitting in our warm homes or apartments miles away from this cold feedlot, can easily turn off the computer and not think about these horses: these horses waiting for someone to help them, not understanding why they are there or why they don't recognize any other person or horses there. ......you can turn away from that and watch American Idol or something else.........or......... you can make a difference.
The one thing you can do is send a little money to help their lifeline of funds. It doesn't mean that a $5 donation is to little to bother with at all. If you send even $5 then you did what you could and you did not turn away...and when all the monies are tallied up and that horse is saved, your money meant as much as anyone else's money.....it is a team effort and the greater the team the more horses we save....you can make that $5 donation and then sign off with a really good feeling that at least you did help and very possibly saved a horse and how wonderful is that!
Aleta"

OK, I refuse to let Pete be shipped away like all the other horses he saw get shipped to slaughter from that feedlot....it is just too much of a nightmare.
I just sent $50 +fee for Pete....I will pay my cable TV bill later LOL!!!
Please let's all chip in for him. Pete really needs something wonderful to happen to him, someone to love him, probably for the first time in his life.

Any new updates? Can't he be pulled just to give love for a few days, even if he needs to be put down? Isn't there a way to spare him more pain and horror in his life?

The ground in Yakima is FROZEN SOLID and the poop freezes in a short period of time. That makes the footing very difficult for the horses. It could be that all the uneven frozen ground etc. is bothering his feet. He could also be getting abscesses from bruising etc on his poor feet. The poor guy needs a chance at some decent care.

my mare with "issues" in her hind end is very comfortable and rides very nicely. i give her regular farrier care, good feed, supplements specific for her joints, and keep her older body warm and healthy with plenty of love and she is absolutely wonderful. best riding horse ever. she will be 21 this spring, and we climb mountains, herd cattle, team sort/pen, trail rides, you name it!! She was even the Jack Daniels horse at the rodeo this past summer!!

There must be something we all can do.....If love could get him off that lot, there would be enough love from all of us to fly him away from there......
Does anyone have a friend that does Reiki? The right person skilled at that might be able to tell what is wrong with him and help him. We teach Reiki at the college I work for and it is very interesting.
We should just keep sending in some funds for him so he can be bailed....he has a home offer....so let's get him off that lot!!!
It is not over for Pete!!!

And it's a high price for a "lame" horse. Poor Pete. He'd be better off humanely euthed, (hate saying it, and hate the thought of it) than getting shipped. Em sam just contacted me- pete is definately not sound at the lot right now. he is not moving sound anymore. short in the back and off in the front. i hate reporting this, but she said it must be disclosed.
