He's beautiful; it's obvious even through his feedlot-unkempt state. He also looks sad and dejected.
Yes, what a cruel irony, to work on a feedlot and then end up on one himself. It's bad enough when the horses end up there after some other life, but it's like poor Pete just can't get away from the feedlot.
So sad -- you just want to pray feverishly for all horses not to get hurt or overused, develop physical issues or need any extra care -- or they get thrown away to the feedlot, like a broken thing into the garbage ...
Although, most garbage isn't tortured and eaten.

I think I'd classify this horse as High Risk also....he doesn't stay sound after a long day...we have seen the FLO ship less than perfect animals.

So far this guy has shown NO signs of lameness at the lot... The comment about his soundness was told to us. He has not taken a lame step at the lot!!! Might be wonderful for easy trailriding. Feedlot work is very hard on the horses, very physical and demanding long days. Pete is an absolutely beautiful Red Dun. He is put together very nicely. Definate eye candy. This is a well bred horse. You can just tell by looking at him.

He needs help. Someone has to take Kelly up on her offer or he needs some serious donations! Otherwise, he's going to be one of the first to be put on the truck.

Someone PLEASE step up for Pete. I have ads out there for him and someone just emailed me from my dreamhorse ad, but we can't count on that. We have GOT TO COME TOGETHER here for these remaining horses and Pete has only us and only this last day to save his life.
Can you really turn away???
