Is anyone willing to take responsibility for any of the horses on the feedlot? I would be willing to go pick one up and help transport it if it had a home to go to. I live about an hour away. I don't have a place for one but I can help transport if there is someone who is willing to adopt it. Of course that means Chuck would have to agree to sell it to us. You can PM me if you are interested.

I love Black Jack. He looks so sweet... This is not fair to have such a short amount of time to try and find homes for these horses and they are so expensive now with all of the QT and fees that it's becoming almost impossible to bail any of them.

OK. This can work We have local members who can purchase horses. We need to compile a list of transport companies. PNP mentioned Tiero Farms. Can we get contact info for them? We need a few on list. We'll need to get horses out fast. What about local vet contacts for the Health Cert. and Coggins? Can any members offer short term QT (like a week) so transport can be arranged?

The pregnant older mare on Chuck's lot that they are calling Molly is in really bad shape. She needs help NOW. I will bet that anyone who walked onto that lot with $150 cash could buy her. But we need someone to take her. Poor thing is going to have to deliver in that condition, and she might not make it, we need someone who knows what they are doing. Modified to add link: www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-HorsesProfile.asp?HoID=1156 As you can see, this is a critical need horse.

There are a few horses that we might be able to pull enough money together to save, but someone will have to purchase and move them, and we need a place for them to go. The youngsters and Molly are the least expensive. Chuck will take offers. I wouldn't be surprised if we could get all of them off the lot for under $800, Remember the posted prices have CBER's $150 fee added on. Modified to add that Gemini is an red roan Appy, not a QH:
UPDATE: Molly and Gemini are pending. The 2 yearlings are still listed as available. The Mustang is also listed as pending.

I hate to beg and I know there are differences of opinions of CBER. There are mares who by no fault of their own are at the feedlot and need to find homes to foal out. If you can help please do. The mares need help. The deadline is saturday at 10 am Thanks Shelley

Yes, that's good, but there are 12 other horses still at high risk, pgrenant mares, older steady-eddies, babies, etc.

I know there was someone intersted in Black Jack and he was exactly what they were looking for but, they weren't able to get to the lot to see him until today. I'm sure the PS stressed as much as she could that he really didn't have until tomorrow that he needed help now. Some people just don't get it, they don't realized these horses cannot wait. I hope it all works out for him. I really do.

Does anyone on this board have space to foal out a mare? Yes, but I won't deal with Sam. She is also furious about reading my post where I mentioned I would take pictures from Chucks lot. She called Chuck and said I was trying to run my own rescue, she hates me, blah blah blah. Anyway, I do have room but since Sam has stirred the pot with Chuck I won't be able to buy her reasonably. I will foal out the mare if someone buys her from Chuck but like I said will not deal with Sam in any form or way. Let me know if I can do something else to help this poor mare and foal.

Since I am in S.E. Idaho, I have no way to assist other than to help coordinate efforts and post horses. If we are going to help any of the animals on that lot, there must be funds raised, and people who are close enough can then go make offers to Chuck, and pull horses for transport to pre-arranged fosters. Since CBER already posts photos and assessments, we don't need to duplicate those efforts. All Chuck needs hear is that you have money and want to see all available horses.
So, list of foster homes that are QT savvy, how many can you handle and for how long. People willing to go to the lot and buy and transport. People who can help with any training needs. People to be in charge of fundraising for vetting and feed, which will be a bigger expense than purchase. Several folks to help with listing and screening adopters.
Without all these things, there can be no rescue effort.

We all knew that the horses would be the losers.... How can a rescue that has clearly turned it's back on longtime supportors expect those insulted to send money it's way? A huge red flag here....It is not about the HORSES! No one here should feel guilty because some of the CBER horses shipped. (Many, many of us have come to their rescue over the years.) IT IS VERY, VERY SADDENING to read that these horses have shipped, but history shows supportors were duped into believing some horses were saved, and now it has been discovered that they were NOT. Why wouldn't anyone sending in $$$ with very good intentions feel cheated and deceived? This whole fiasco should NEVER have happened. RIP all those horses who have been deceived by man once again.........
